HOW TO REGISTER

 

Computer Based CSET (Multiple Subject, English and Math Tests Only):

1. Reference the On-Ramp and your team’s testing info to determine the test you need to take and the deadline by which you need to register for and take the exam.

2. Register on the testing website (http://www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/register.asp) by clicking “Register Now.”  If you have not taken an exam through CTC before, you will need to create an account.  Make sure you enter your name as it appears on the government-issued photo identification.

3. Test Selection: Select computer-based testing.  Double check that the exams you select align with your assigned subject area.  Sign up for a test location close to you.

4. Designated Score Recipients: You will be instructed to indicate Designated Score Recipients. Please select Loyola Marymount University (listed under private Institutions).

5. Click “yes” when asked if you would like to receive your scores via email.

6. Answer the Background Questions.

7. Pay for your test using a major credit card.

8. Register for a Test Date: After you pay for the CSET, you will be sent an “Authorization to Test” email.  Log back into the CSET website, select “View Registrations,” and select “Schedule” to schedule a test date, time, and location.  You are not registered until you schedule your test.  After selecting a test date, you will receive an Appointment Confirmation email; forward this email to lainfo@teachforamerica.org.

9. On the Test Day:  Bring your photo ID to the test center and arrive early.

10. Test Results: You will receive your results via email 2-6 weeks after testing.  Forward your results to lainfo@teachforamerica.org immediately after you receive this email.

 

Paper Based CSET (Everyone EXCEPT Multiple Subjects, English and Math):

1. Reference the On-Ramp and your team’s testing info to determine the test you need to take and the deadline by which you need to register for and take the exam.

2. Register on the testing website (http://www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/register.asp) by clicking “Register Now.”  If you have not taken an exam through CSET before, you will need to create an account.  Make sure you enter your name as it appears on the government-issued photo identification.

3. Test Selection: Select paper-based testing.  Double check that the exams you select align with your assigned subject area.  This test is only offered in California.  Sign up for a location in Los Angeles on March 8th

4. Designated Score Recipients: You will be instructed to indicate Designated Score Recipients. Please select Loyola Marymount University (listed under private Institutions).

5. Click “yes” when asked if you would like to receive your scores via email.

6. Answer the Background Questions.

7. Pay for your test using a major credit card.

8. You will receive an admission ticket via e-mail; forward this email to lainfo@teachforamerica.org.

9. On the Test Day:  Bring a printed copy of your admission ticket, photo ID, several sharpened number 2 pencils, and any test specific materials with you to the test center on your test day.  Arrive early.

10. Test Results: You will receive your results via email about 4 weeks after testing.  Forward your results to lainfo@teachforamerica.org immediately after you receive this email.

 

CBEST

1. Reference the On-Ramp and your team’s testing info to determine the test you need to take and the deadline by which you need to register for and take the exam.

2. Register on the testing website (http://www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/register.asp) by clicking “Register Now.”  You will use the same log-in as you did for the CSET.  Make sure your name matches the government-issued photo identification .

3. Test Selection: Select computer-based testing. Sign up for a location close to you.

4. Designated Score Recipients: You will be instructed to indicate Designated Score Recipients. Please select Loyola Marymount University (listed under private Institutions).

Click “yes” when asked if you would like to receive your scores via email.

5.  Answer the Background Questions.

6. Pay for your test using a major credit card.

7. Register for a Test Date: After you pay for the CBEST, you will be sent an “Authorization to Test” email.  Log back into the CBEST website, select “View Registrations,” and select “Schedule” to schedule a test date, time, and location.  You are not registered until you schedule your test.  After selecting a test date, you will receive an Appointment Confirmation email; forward this email to lainfo@teachforamerica.org.
